FAQ
Hypnotherapy - Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Hypnotherapist be able to control my mind?
The subconscious mind is a higher level of awareness that is always in control and can reject any information. You will receive suggestions based on your goals, and you can reject any information you do not resonate with.
A hypnotherapist cannot control your mind. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that involves guiding you into a relaxed state of focused attention, where your subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestions. However, you always maintain control over your thoughts, actions, and decisions during the process. The hypnotherapist acts as a facilitator to help you achieve your desired goals, but ultimate control remains with you.
Will I be made to perform embarrassing acts while in hypnosis such as the ones people do in stage hypnosis shows?
No, during hypnotherapy, you will not be made to perform embarrassing acts like those seen in stage hypnosis shows. Hypnotherapy focuses on therapeutic goals and personal development, not entertainment or humiliation. The hypnotherapist's purpose is to guide you towards positive change and well-being, respecting your dignity and personal boundaries throughout the process. You can feel assured that any suggestions made during hypnotherapy will align with your goals and values.
Is Hypnosis dangerous? I have never been hypnotized.
Hypnosis is a safe, natural state that we all go through every single day, for example: in the morning before we wake up, and in the evening before we fall asleep. We are all masters of hypnosis. We also go through some states of hypnosis while reading a book, driving on a highway or watching TV.
Hypnosis is a widely practiced therapeutic technique that is generally considered safe when conducted by trained professionals. During hypnosis, you are in a relaxed and focused state, but you remain aware and in control. However, it is important to seek hypnosis from qualified practitioners to ensure your safety and well-being. Additionally, if you have certain mental health conditions or are susceptible to psychosis, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before undergoing hypnosis.
Will I be able to come out of hypnosis?
Absolutely! As a professional hypnotherapist, I prioritize your well-being and ensure that you can comfortably come out of hypnosis whenever you choose to. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, but rest assured that you are always in control. I have the expertise and techniques to guide you out of the hypnotic state smoothly and safely, allowing you to return to your normal waking state whenever you desire. Your comfort and autonomy are of utmost importance throughout the entire process.
Hypnosis is a very safe state from which you can come out as a result of suggestions or at will, at any time you choose. Since the conscious mind is not in a constant state, for brief moments, you may feel like you are asleep, and then come out of the sleep naturally.
Will one hypnosis session be enough to solve everything?
While hypnosis can be a powerful tool for personal transformation, the number of sessions needed may vary depending on individual circumstances. Some clients may experience significant progress after just one session, while others may require multiple sessions to achieve their desired outcomes. The duration and effectiveness of hypnotherapy can be influenced by factors such as the complexity of the issue, your level of receptiveness, and your commitment to the process. As a hypnotherapist, I will work closely with you to develop a tailored action plan that aligns with your goals and helps maximize the benefits of hypnosis.
Will I reveal my secrets in hypnosis?
Rest assured, hypnosis does not force you to reveal personal secrets or confidential information against your will. Your privacy and confidentiality are paramount during hypnotherapy sessions. While hypnosis can create a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, you remain in control of what you choose to share. I adhere to strict ethical guidelines that prioritize your trust and confidentiality. You can feel confident that any information shared during hypnosis will be treated with the utmost respect and kept strictly confidential.
Will I remember what happened during the hypnotherapy session?
Hypnosis is not an unconscious state; it's a state of focused concentration. After the session, generally, the client remembers everything that has happened, except for the situation in which the client becomes a vessel for knowledge, for the universal mind.
However, it is common for clients to have varying degrees of memory recall after a hypnotherapy session. Some individuals may remember everything that was said and experienced during the session, while others may have a partial or even minimal recollection. Remembering or forgetting aspects of the session does not affect the effectiveness of hypnotherapy. Your subconscious mind absorbs and processes the positive suggestions and therapeutic work regardless of your conscious memory. Rest assured, I will ensure that you feel comfortable and informed about the process, including discussing any post-session details or recommendations to help reinforce your progress.
I can't be hypnotized because I have a strong mind.
Every person can be hypnotized and enter in a state of hypnosis, which they do by themselves on a daily basis right before falling asleep or when waking up. Some people are able to quiet their mind easily, while others need training; but the majority of people can get into hypnosis.
Hypnosis is not about having a weak or strong mind; it is a natural state of focused relaxation that anyone can experience. In fact, having a strong mind can actually enhance your ability to benefit from hypnotherapy. Hypnosis works by accessing the power of your subconscious mind and allowing positive suggestions to be more readily accepted. As a skilled hypnotherapist, I will work with you to establish a comfortable and trusting environment, utilizing techniques tailored to your unique needs. With an open mind and willingness to engage in the process, you can tap into the potential of hypnosis and harness your inner strength for personal growth and positive change.
What type of induction will you use?
During your hypnotherapy session, I will utilize a progressive relaxation method for the induction process. This approach involves guiding you into a state of deep relaxation through a series of gentle steps. I combine permissive suggestions, visualization techniques, and other effective methods to facilitate the induction smoothly and comfortably. Whether you choose to be seated or lying down on a bed or couch, your comfort is prioritized to create an optimal environment for relaxation and focus.
It's important to note that I do not perform touch hypnosis. In the case of an in-person session, you would be comfortably situated on the couch or bed while I would be at my desk, ensuring your privacy and maintaining a professional distance.
Do you accept clients who don't sign the Disclaimer & Agreement Form and the Personal Data Collection Agreement Form?
No, as a professional hypnotherapist, it is essential for clients to sign the Disclaimer & Agreement Form and the Personal Data Collection Agreement Form. These forms outline important legal and ethical considerations, ensure informed consent, and protect both parties involved. By signing these forms, clients demonstrate their understanding of the therapeutic process, confidentiality guidelines, and the collection and use of their personal data. It is a necessary requirement to maintain professional standards, ensure clarity, and protect the rights and privacy of all clients.
